Come Find Me at Sitecore City Tour Chicago

Title card: Come Find Me at Sitecore City Tour Chicago. Events post on Sitecore Saga.

Quick one this week, but an important one (for me anyway).

Sitecore City Tour is coming to Chicago on Thursday, May 7th, and I’ll be up on stage. If you’re anywhere near the city and you work with Sitecore – developer, marketer, architect, whatever – come hang out.

The details

  • When: Thursday, May 7, 2026
  • Where: The Metropolitan Club, 233 S. Wacker Dr. (67th floor of Willis Tower – give yourself a few extra minutes for the elevators)
  • What: A day of sessions from Sitecore, Microsoft, partners and customers, all focused on SitecoreAI and what’s working in the real world

Registration is through Sitecore’s events page.

My session

“Operationalizing SitecoreAI: Real-World Journeys from United Airlines & Shure”

I’m presenting with Jon Price (our VP of Sitecore Practice at Americaneagle.com), Charles Hong from United Airlines and Rogelio Villanueva from Shure.

I’ve had the chance to support both of these implementations, so this one is close to home. The plan is to skip the slideware version of AI adoption and talk about the stuff that actually decides whether it sticks:

  • How the new capabilities fit into workflows teams already have
  • Governance – who gets to turn on what, and who reviews what AI produces
  • Change management, which is honestly the hardest part and the least talked about

Having Charlie and Rog there is what makes this worth showing up for. You’ll hear it from the people living it every day, not just from the partner side.

Why you should come anyway

Even if you skip my session (I’ll try not to take it personally), the lineup is strong. There are sessions on AI adoption and ROI, on how AI-driven discovery is changing what a website is even for, and on using agentic AI for migrations. That last one should be relevant to pretty much everyone still sitting on XP.

Honestly though, the best part of these events is the hallway. Chicago has a really solid Sitecore community, and it’s not often we’re all in one room.

If you’re going, ping me on LinkedIn and let’s grab a few minutes. See you on the 67th floor!
