Sitecore MVP 2026: Year Two

Alex Lentz

Title card: Sitecore MVP 2026: Year Two. Community post on Sitecore Saga.

This week Sitecore announced the 2026 MVP class, and I’m honored to be named a Sitecore Technology MVP for the second year.

There are a little over 200 MVPs worldwide this year, in the program’s 20th year. Being in that group with people whose blogs and talks I learned from when I started on Sitecore back in 2013 still feels a bit surreal.

Thank you

A few people and groups I need to call out:

  • The Sitecore community. Every Slack answer, every blog post at 11pm that solved exactly my problem, every hackathon – that’s what this program is really about.
  • Sitecore and the MVP program team for continuing to invest in the people building on the platform.
  • My team at Americaneagle.com. I get to work with a ridiculous amount of talent, and this year 12 of us were named MVPs. Congrats to everyone, especially the first-timers.
  • My clients, who keep giving me interesting problems to write about.

What I’m working on this year

Last year I spent a lot of time on XM Cloud (now SitecoreAI) migrations, headless Next.js, the Marketplace and AI-assisted development. 2026 is going to be more of the same, just a lot more of it:

  • More Marketplace apps, and making sure the ones I’ve built are useful to the community, not just to my own projects
  • Content SDK everything. JSS is on the clock, and the community needs real-world migration notes
  • Agentic development with the Marketer MCP and the Agent API
  • More writing and speaking. If you run a user group and want a session on any of the above, reach out

To anyone thinking about applying

Just start sharing. Write up the bug that took you two days. Answer one question on Slack. Show your team the thing you built. You don’t need to be an expert to help someone who’s one step behind you – and that’s how most of us got here.

Congratulations to all of the 2026 MVPs. Let’s make it a good year.
